Module 04: Complications

⚙️ Haute Horlogerie
⚙️ Official Definition: In watchmaking, a "complication" refers to any additional function or display provided by the watch beyond the baseline indication of hours, minutes, and seconds. In this respect, the simple calendar (date) represents the very first complication.

1. Date Indications (Basic Calendar Mechanisms)

2. Astronomical Complications & Complex Calendars

This category represents the milestone where mechanical movements incorporate an autonomous "memory" of month lengths.

🚧 Module Under Development 🚧

The domain of horological complications is extensive and complex. The chapters dedicated to Chronographs, Tourbillons, and Striking Watches are currently undergoing detailed pedagogical structuring and technical review. They will be released upon meeting our certified quality standards.

🏁 End of Module 04 (Part 1): Foundational calendar principles established; subsequent chapters coming soon.
